Fighting Missionaries in Florida

src=Jews for Judaism executive director Rabbi Bentzion Kravitz spoke at The Shul in Bal Harbour about the need for counter missionary awareness. More than 250 people attended an exciting evening with Jews for Judaism executive director, Rabbi Bentzion Kravitz, at The Shul of Bal Harbour. Under the spiritual leadership of Rabbi Sholom D. Lipskar, Rabbi Shea Rubinstein organized the lecture and commented that the lecture was clear, entertaining and extremely relevant. After presenting numerous sources in Halacha, Talmud and Chassidic philosophy that emphasize the need for counter missionary awareness, Rabbi Kravitz spoke on “the Domino Effect,” the parting of the ways between Judaism and Christianity. More than 300,000 Jews have been converted to Christianity and most never had an opportunity to make an informed decision. The audience was held spellbound by Kravitz’s mixture of captivating stories, anecdotes, and biblical and historical sources. The presentation encouraged critical thinking and provided answers to questions posed by missionaries to Jewish students and adults. Members of the audience stayed for hours to ask questions and seek advice for friends and family members affected by the surge of missionary activity targeting the Jewish community. While visiting Bal Harbour, Rabbi Kravitz also met with Aleph Institute director Aaron Lipskar and an alliance was forged with Jews for Judaism to combat the missionary activity targeting Jews currently incarcerated in State and Federal prison. According to Kravitz, “the Rebbe directed me to save Jews from the grasp of missionaries and this is what I have been doing for more than 25 years, wherever they are located.”
