Jews for Judaism’s 2017 Gala commemorates the life of David Rifkind, who for more than 13 years was an integral part of our organization.
At his core, David was extremely passionate about Jewish identity, helping individuals in crisis, and keeping Jews Jewish.
As chair of the Jews for Judaism board, David spearheaded multiple strategic planning processes, and challenged Jews for Judaism’s leadership to think bigger and broader.
He headed the Aleph Club strategic funding initiative, which strives to develop a core group of 365 advocates – one for each day of the year – who commit a minimum gift of $1,000 to our annual campaign.
A loving husband and father, David was an optimistic and loyal friend and mentor to countless individuals.
He was a proud alumnus of the Wexner Heritage Program and past president of Heschel West Day School.
We will pay tribute to David’s passion at our 2017 Gala and launch The David Rifkind Legacy Fund to support Jews for Judaism’s vital programs and services. Please join David’s friends, family, and colleagues in supporting this year’s Gala. Together we can honor David’s vision and legacy.
