Rabbi Michael Skobac - Education Director

Rabbi Skobac has been involved in Jewish outreach and education since 1975. He began to specialize in the counter-missionary field when he worked under the auspices of the Jewish Campus Activities Board in the Philadelphia area in 1983.
Rabbi Skobac was the founding Director of the New York Branch of Jews for Judaism, as well as a consultant to the New York Jewish Community Relations Council Task Force On Missionaries and Cults from 1987 until he moved to Toronto in 1991.
Rabbi Skobac is Education Director of the Toronto Branch of Jews for Judaism.
Rabbi Skobac is recognized worldwide as a scholar and expert in the differences between Judaism and Christianity. He has lectured extensively on this subject in the United States, Canada, Israel, India, the former Soviet Union, Australia and South Africa.
He has taught numerous courses on Jewish-Christian polemics, has appeared on numerous radio and television programs, and in addition to being a columnist for the Jewish Press, has written for numerous Jewish publications on the missionary issue.
Rabbi Skobac has acted as a consultant to Jewish communities in developing communal responses to missionary activities, and has extensive experience working with affected families and counseling individuals involved with Christian groups.
