Ruth was one of JEWS FOR JUDAISM'S original employees over 25 years ago. She helped establish the groundwork of our organization and has always maintained a strong commitment to our work. We are thrilled to have her back and know that her expertise and skills will further the growth of JEWS FOR JUDAISM. Since May 2000, Ruth Guggenheim has been the Director of Development and Public Relations of JEWS FOR JUDAISM. She has overseen the development of numerous new projects, fundraising initiatives, Board development and has aided in raising the organizations profile amongst community professionals and lay leaders both locally and nationally. Additionally, she was a part of the team that assisted the organization through its tenuous transitional period seven years ago, and again, during the fall of 2007. In January 2008, Ruth accepted the position of Executive Director.

Prior to returning to work at JEWS FOR JUDAISM in 2000, Ruth was Executive Director of the Baltimore Chapter of Hadassah (1998-2000); the Director of Homeownership Services for CHAI (1987–1998), an agency of The Associated Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore; and a secular and religious schoolteacher (1975-1984).
